Update on Tony:

Tony celebrated his 47th birthday on 9/27 and he was scheduled to have his chemo treatment and his doctor visit on this day.  But we received some news that we were not expecting. 

The last bone scan that was performed showed there are 6 new spots.  There are 4 spots on the spine and 2 new spots in the pelvic area.  They checked his PSA while we were there and Tony's PSA level went from 85 to 146.2.  So chemo was cancelled that day and there will be no more chemo for right now.  His doctor told us that the chemo just wasn't doing what it was supposed to do.

Tony will need to be off chemo for several weeks so we can review and discuss other options with his doctor.  We will find out what that is on October 27.  The doctor told us he has other things up his sleeve.....  So we are praying that God leads Tony to the best treatment option available!

Since coming off chemo and the prednisone that Tony had to take, he is experiencing some days of pain in his shoulder, ribs and hip.... These are a few of the areas where the cancer is located.  As of right now he takes Tylenol and it helps with the pain.  He has stronger pain medication but he said that since Tylenol works pretty well he will take it because it doesn't make him drowsy.

Please keep Tony, our family and our group in your prayers!  We know God is in control over all this!  Tony is strong and he is amazing!!!  I know God is giving him this strength!  When Satan comes at us we rebuke him!  God is our refuge and in HIM we draw our strength!!!!!
