Tony had his doctor’s appt yesterday and it has been decided that we are going to Vanderbilt in Nashville.  Tony's doctor referred us there due to them having more options available.  And since Tony has only had one round of chemo, they can find more options.  He said that if we went ahead and started a second round and then decided to go to Vandy then our options would be limited.  And there is a new drug that is supposed to be released by the FDA maybe in December, so he thought this would be the perfect opportunity to do the Vandy visit.  So next Thursday, 11/5, we will be going for the first visit to Vanderbilt.

We prayed that God would lead us to good options and several options, so we feel like that is what the Lord has done.  Here in Chattanooga they are limited to what they can do and even the doctor told us that.  And he told Tony that if he was facing this that this is what he would be doing too.  So that helped in this decision.

The doctor he will be seeing at Vanderbilt specializes in Prostate Cancer and the advanced stage of it.  So we are being optimistic that this is what God wants.

Please pray for us as we embark on this new path that God is opening at Vandy!

Tony has not had chemo or any of the steroids he had to take while doing chemo for the last several weeks.  So please pray for him.  He does feel some pain in the places that the cancer is.  He takes Tylenol instead of stronger pain medicine because he says that the Tylenol works with easing the pain for right now.   There are some nights he does not sleep well.  The swelling he was suffering in his legs has eased up so we are thankful for that!

Thank you for always uplifting our family and our group in your prayers.  And thank you for all the cards and gifts we receive.  It seems like they come at just the right moment.....  God knows what we need when we need it!  We love each and every one of you!
