Darrell Demastus

Sings bass for the group. He was born on October 27 in Columbia, Tennessee. Darrell was raised in Elkton, Tennessee, a small town just north of the Alabama border in middle Tennessee. He was saved at the age of 12 during a youth revival in Athens, Alabama. He and his family attended Kelly’s Creek Baptist Church and later Elkton Baptist Church where Darrell started his musical career with several other young people from the church.

Darrell attended school at Elkton High School where he was really involved in sports. The school consolidated his senior year and he graduated from Giles County High School in Pulaski, Tennessee. He then attended college at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Darrell will tell you that he didn’t always work for the Lord the way he should and that if there was any part of his life that he would do over it would be that he would have worked harder for the Lord during his college years.

In 1985 Darrell met his wife Karen and they were married on April 25, of that year. Darrell says, It has been a honeymoon ever since. Darrell says that it is great traveling and working for the Lord every weekend and it is extra special because he gets to travel with his family.

Darrell asks that you all just keep him and his family in your prayers as they travel throughout the year.

I sing soprano for the group. I was born on May 4, in a year of our Lord, in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA! I accepted the Lord as my personal Savior at the age of 10 and received healing from a speech impairment that I had had since the time I could talk. When God touches you in such a way as He did me you can’t help but sing for His glory and to help others to understand the love He has for them.

Southern gospel music has always played a very important part in our family heritage. From the time Lisa was 7 years old and I was 5 we have been singing together. One funny story I remember Mom telling me was of her and a friend being asked to sing at a revival and I apparently wanted to sing. Mom kindly sat me down in the floor beside her and as she began to sing I commenced to kick her in the ankles. Now, I don’t know the exact age I was at the time, but I know I have been forgiven both by God and Mom!

It’s my desire to serve God and to help build up His kingdom. My journey has been sweet and I look forward to what God has in store for my future.

I sing lead for our group and also drive the bus 90% of the time as we travel. I was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on September 29. I sang in church with my mother and youngest sister, Theresa. I also have an older sister, Connie, and a younger brother, Buddy.

One of the greatest enjoyments as a child was going to the Mull Singing Convention, when it came to town. I especially loved it when the original Hinson’s were there. One of my greatest heroes in gospel music would have to be the legendary Kenny Hinson.

In 1987 my job suddenly transferred me to the small town of Hayesville, North Carolina. I was far away from family and friends and so alone. I couldn’t understand why this was happening to me. Then the Lord showed me that I needed Him in my life. It took me moving away to let the Lord show me HIS direction for my life. I totally surrendered my life to the Lord in January 1988.

The Lord has truly blessed our ministry. We have seen people come to know the Lord, people rededicating their lives and churches revived and renewed. This is nothing that we have done but we give all of the praise and glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I thank the Lord for what HE has done in my life.

HE has blessed me with a Christian wife and two wonderful children, Jacob and Emily. HE has also allowed us to travel and sing the greatest music ever! Southern Gospel!!

I was born on February 14 in Ft. Payne, AL and I sing alto for our family group. I love the Lord with all my heart! I am so glad He spoke to me when I was a young girl and I accepted Him into my heart. I thank God for my parents who took us to church and taught us to love the Lord and to serve Him with all our hearts.

My mom and dad sang and traveled with us until 1999 and then God called dad to be a pastor. He now pastors Christian Home Baptist Church in Chickamauga, GA. Tony and I also attend there when not on the road. I get to stand and sing with my youngest sister, Karen. I have a younger brother, Eric, who also pastors a church.

I also get the pleasure of singing beside my husband, Tony, who I met in the spring of 1988 and we were married in November that same year. I thank God everyday for my family! Tony and I tried for 7 years to have children and about 6 weeks after a serious car accident that happened on March 10, 1995 we found out I was pregnant. We now have two beautiful children, Jacob and Emily.

The Lord has been so good to us. I hope and pray we can continue traveling and singing for a long time. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel and do Gods will.

I sing baritone and lead for the group. I am 24 and I live in Chickamauga, Ga., a town with two red lights. I received Christ as my Savior at nine years old. I’ve always enjoyed singing and had an interest in Southern gospel music. I first began singing with my great friends Brent and Casey at our home church, which was a great influence for me singing. Music has always come naturally to me probably because it’s what our family is about. Before traveling with my family, I sang with a couple for about a year. I like singing in a lot of places where there are many youth. I point my interests into reaching the young people. Getting the message of singing across with positive lyrics in gospel music versus other music. Our style of music can change lives while other music styles can’t. I feed off that. It’s awesome. It's cool to see how different audiences react to our music. I hope to be a great influence to every person I meet and pray God will use me more and more for his work.

I graduated from Gordon Lee High School and now attend Georgia Northwestern studying Information Technology in Computers. Please keep me in your prayers as we travel and a special thanks to all the fans who support our ministry.

I play the drums for the group. I have been playing since the age of seven years old. I have always had an interest in playing with my family on the road. While not on the road I spend a lot of time playing Xbox, baseball, basketball, and football. My favorite sport is baseball. My favorite Major League team is the Atlanta Braves. Other sports nothing else but the Tennessee Volunteers. Go Vols! The best thing I like about traveling with my parents and family is getting to minister to people from all across the world.

Hey! I'm a 31 year old guy who is just living my life for Jesus Christ to its fullest. I love my life. I was raised in a great Christian home. All I’ve ever known is church and Southern Gospel Music. My mom and dad, Brenda and Lebron Brandon, have sung for nearly 30 years. My brother, Brent Lee, has been singing most of his life. My dad is a preacher and my mom is the ladies Sunday school teacher at the Rossville Baptist Tabernacle in Rossville, Georgia. This is the church that I grew up in. I traveled with my family, The Brandons, for about 10 years. We had many great times together.

I love to sing, but playing the piano has always been my first love. I’ve been playing the piano for about 23 years now. I’ve never had a lesson in my life. Everything I do is a gift from Jesus Christ and I thank Him for it every day that I live. It all started with a little organ that had buttons on the side that made the chord sounds when you pushed them. I could only play 1 note at a time, but I knew what the full chords sounded like. Then usually, my mom and dad would take me and my brother to church on Sunday afternoons before church would start so we could practice. He played the piano and I played the organ. We were playing a song together and he messed up on it. I went and showed him what chord to go to. After that, I started teaching myself other chords which increased to full songs and I’ve been playing ever since.

I’ve had many musical influences in my life. Gerald Wolfe is my greatest influence. Not only is he my favorite singer, but I have admired his piano playing for many years. Some others that have impacted my life are: Stan Whitmire, Tracy Phillips (former pianist for the Perrys), Sharon and Janet Hayes (Hayes Family), Rosa Nell Speer, Tim Parton (pianist for Legacy Five, who has also never had a lesson) Josh Simpson (Gold City) and of course the late Anthony Burger and Roger Bennett.

I also have had the great opportunity to travel professionally with a trio from out of Arab, Alabama called Appointed. I sang lead and played the piano for them from 2001-2003. We had a few songs on the charts and had 2 top 40 hits. The song most people remember us by is "Beautiful Days", written by Tommy Swindle. Back in 2002, we were asked to be part of the annual Gospel Music Convention in Fraserburgh, Scotland. That was an amazing experience. We also were asked to perform live in front of 15,000 people on the main stage of the National Quartet Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. That was the most incredible experience. It was a total dream come true.

I've been off the road for 4 years now and I’m so excited to be back on the road travelling. I can’t wait to make new friends and see new places. There’s no one else I would want to play the piano for than The Greesons. I’ve known them all my life. They not only live what they sing but they sing what they live. I'm excited to see what Christ has in store not only for me, but for The Greesons as well.
