Lisa's Information Station - Feb 2006
Hello again! Boy have we been busy since Christmas! We usually slow our singing schedule down for Christmas and then in January we start back up again. We have been keeping the roads hot (and the skies and the waters) during January. Let me tell you more?..
We paid a visit to the Eddie Crook Offices in Nashville and have started selecting new material for our newest upcoming project on the 4 Square Label. We are so excited about this project! We have listened to some really great songs! This project should be available this summer.
On January 23 thru January 28 Tony and I got a chance of a lifetime! Tony won a trip thru his work. They called us the first week of January and told us we were going to Hawaii!!! We could not believe it! We left on Monday, 1/23/06 and returned home on Saturday, 1/28/07! We had a wonderful time. We stayed in Maui and it is a beautiful place. We attended a luau on Tuesday night and it included a Hula show that was very exciting to watch! They gave us some of their history that is related to their dance. It was something to see! We had some free time for sightseeing and we also had the chance to go on a whale watching cruise. During November to about April the Humpback Whales come to Hawaii from Alaska. We had two that came up close to our boat! It was amazing! Since I don?t know what Heaven looks like just yet, I would have to say that Hawaii would have to be next closest thing to Paradise! I have to thank God for giving us this opportunity! Hawaii has always been my ?dream? place to go! Thank you Dear Lord for allowing us to see all the beauty you have made!
Karen and Joey have also been traveling afar! They sailed to Mexico aboard The Eddie Crook?s Goodlife Gospel Cruise that left port in Tampa, Florida on January 30. They headed towards Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Their were over 600 gospel music fans that enjoyed this six day, five night cruise aboard the Carnival Ship, Inspiration. They had a wonderful time!
