Lisa's Information Station - Jun 08
This information station will be a little different than any of the others I have ever written. We are going thru a battle at this time and we request all of your prayers.
Some of you may know but others may not. Tony, my husband, and who sings lead for our group has been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. It is considered in the metastatic stage because it has spread to some lymph nodes and to some bones. The last several weeks have passed in a blur! We are in continuous prayer!
Towards the end of April, Tony went to the doctor and they knew something was wrong. They ran a CT scan. They first suspected Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. They performed a biopsy of a lymph node and then it was determined it was definitely Prostate Cancer. He has started treatment and we are also looking at other options that our doctor is recommending.
We continue to sing and praise God’s name! He will receive all the glory in this battle. Tony is optimistic and he has stated thru this that “You have to go thru a battle to win the victory! And you have to go thru sickness to be healed!” We know God is a healer! And we know He still performs miracles today! We are praying for a healing for Tony!
We are traveling down this path for a reason. We don’t know what that reason may be. But God knows. God has us in the palm of His hand. He knows the plans He has for us. This journey is going to have its ups and downs and it is going to feel like a roller coaster. God will be with us thru this journey and I know He will hear our cries! He is with us always.
I also want to take this time to thank all the ones that have called, sent cards and sentiments thru the mail and for all the prayers! You don’t know how much we appreciate it! Just knowing that people are praying and thinking about Tony and our family at this time is such a blessing! You will never know how much it means.
Please remember our family in your prayers and also The Greesons!
